X (or X-Japan, which they changed their name to due to the fact there is already an X) was an 80s metal band, and possibley one of the greatest bands of all time. They're not "nu-metal" at all. Yoshiki is one of the best modern musicians. His drumming is insane, he creates amazing piano pieces, and he wrote and arranged 99% of X-Japan's music. hide and Pata were AMAZING guitarists. i've never heard the australian x, but they have to be better than this. i was really referring to the los angeles-based x, possibly one of the best rock and roll groups of all time, punk or not. we obviously have different views on metal if they dress like that.

I like many different types of metal, but X Japan is one of my alltime favorite bands.

I'm sorry, the LA band X, is a steaming pile of shit compared to the Japanese counterpart. If you're gonna judge music on how they dress I might as well label you a "TRUE NORWEGIAN BLACK METAL RAWR!" brat right now.
I like how this board was started for whatever point of intelligent people discussing things or such, but a couple of you people are just the most closed minded lame ass punker kids I've ever talked to in my entire life. Take your self-righteous scene attitude and shove it if you can't be open about a style of music.
