Square Enix so far has blown, though I do like to play me a mean game of Sphere Break.
Final Fantasy 7 is were its at. I like to consider myself the biggest FF7 fan that hasnt beat the game.
Xenogears was good but the movies were corney as hell.

has anyone played both the SNES chrono trigger and the PS1 chrono trigger? i 've only played the SNES one, and I wanna know where the remake falls in comparison.

as far as I know the PS1 version contains anime sequences. while i love anime, i'm not exactly sure if that addition is a good thing.

that's good. i'd be extremely let down if the anime sequences were lame.

The sequences were cool, however it fails in the fact there were fucking load times between each battle. It works with FF when it transitions to a completely new screen, but with CT where it just transitions to battle, a 5 second delay between hitting a mob and battling seriously fucked it up.

The anime scenes were very Dragon Ball Z esque. They were mainly just where you meet a new vital role character. They were cool, but I could have lived without them. I didn't really notice the load time, cause I haven't played the snes version. It was fun either way.

The anime scenes were very DBZesque because AKIRA TORIYAMA DID THE CHARACTER DESIGNS FOR BOTH OF THEM.

Yeah, I like his style, despite the fact it varies very little. Dragon Quest VIII looks good too.

oh, for some reason i didn't know that was squaresoft. that game is so good. another type of mario rpg came out a little while ago, but it isn't nearly as good.
i don't remember what my problem was, but the first time i ever played that (way back when) i remember it taking me about an hour to realize how to leave the little village where mario's house was.
